I have visited goa on 20th June 2017, it was the joining date of one of my Cousin at The Lalit Golf and Spa Resort, Canacona, Goa.We reached Canacona railway station at 3.30 AM by a train named Matysgandha which runs between Lokmanya Tilak Terminal and Mangalore. That day only I came to know that the Goa Taxi Drivers Union has revolted against any Ola or Uber like cab services there. I had a hard time that day looking and searching for Taxi providers numbers. Found some of those providers but they told that they will charge for the Half day at least. But as Lalit is only 3 Kms from Canacona railway, so it was a bad deal for half day booking of any taxi.
Canacona Railway station is a small station which is before Karwar and what interests me about this Railway station that it is built in such a Location which is so Beautiful and Green that one could not resist from praising the Beauty of this Railway station.
As I was unable to find any economical Taxi fortunately an auto rickshaw came at the premise and I had talk with its driver and booked it for 8 AM, he agreed.
before 8 AM I took some sleep and then get fresh and dressed. Later I came to know that the reporting time is 9.30 AM so I called the driver at 8.45 and then there he came. We kept our luggage in the auto and left for The Lalit.
The Lalit Golf and Spa Resort is a 5 Star Delux hotel as told by Mr. Ranjit who is an employee there. The Lalit has a enormously huge Premise and meets the expectation of guest. The golf area is the most beautiful and well managed maintained arena. It has Golf location just beside the sea too, which makes it so Beautiful that it can't be expressed in words at all.
After all the formalities my cousin got the accommodation. Then we see off each other and said Good Bye wishing for the good future ahead!
It was 11.30 when I left The Lalit. I had my reservation for returning to Thane in the evening from the same train. I was walking to the Canacona Railways. So that I can board any train for Madgaon and spend my time there till my train arrives in the evening. While I was halfway the distance to Canacona Railway station, Mr. Ranjit was going somewhere in the Car and he asked me to hop in as we were going in the same direction. While in the car we had a good talk and he suggested me to stay at Canacona and visit Palolem beach. He dropped me at the Char rasta.
I decided to stay and wait at Palolem beach. So from char rasta I started walking toward the Beach. It was almost 20 to 30 minutes to beach from chaar rasta. After reaching the beach I took off my Shoes and kept them in my bag and entered the water till my knees. I love staying in water.
Had lots of fun there. Walked from one end to the other end of the Beach. It actually relaxes stress while walking on sand and foot submerged in the water.
Saw Fishermen there pulling there nets from the deep water and also them throwing nets in the water to catch fishes. Met many peoples there talked with them enjoyed the stay at Palolem Beach.
After getting tired of the walk I sat on the stairs of a Closed seasonal Restaurant and fed dogs and crows the Bread and jam I had with me. A Kashmiri man, who runs a guest house there since 20 years with his nephew came to me and we had a Long conversation regarding Goa, Kashmir and many other topics. He told me some interesting stories of his guest house and guests. He does his business there with his Older brother. After a long conversation I looked at the time and it was 4 of the evening then I decided to leave for the station. We wished each other and I left the beach with Memories in mobile.
I walked all the way to the station, No specific reason behind that, I just love walking.
After reaching the station I had almost 2 hrs left for my specific train. So I decided to take a Nap. But due to Tiresome day and missing to put and alarm, I just gone off easily on the Benches on the waiting area. While I was sleeping someone woke me up and he was the employee there telling me not to sleep on the benches as it really not meant for sleeping. I was tired and still sleepy, then Ticket vendor called me to the window and asked me where I am going, as I told him that I have a reservation on Matsyagandha he gave a look at me and informed me that the Train is about to arrive on the platform. I felt thankful to them or I would have missed my train that day. I was Lucky!
As I board the train, I preferred to Sleep and did that.
